I have only seen this happen locally when your computer is connecting to another internal server that is behind a nat'ed firewall, or you have an entry in your hosts file that points hostname to that IP.

I have not seen a limit, The most I've had was 700 domains on one box, running as one IP, but these were all pretty simple brochure type sites, so I think the upper limit is more based on what your hardware can handle than anyyhing else.

Anyone know of a firewall prog for win2k that functions like bsd's ipf, or ipchains? Something that keeps all the firewall setings like the denys and allows in a flat text file, preferbally formatted like ipchains or like a router, where you have 'permit icmp any any' etc... ? Thanks!
