cheers - I meant H323 use for Netmeeting etc. Cannot seem to get a Netmeeting going. It used to be the case H323 uses 3 random port3 up to 65000, on top of the 2 standard ones for voice/video. I wondered if the 827 supports this?
How can I get a Cisco 827 to successfully support H323? Is it a specific IOS? Failing that is there a quick way to forward all traffic to a specific address? Any help gratefully received.

Hi
Can anyone recommend a UK based repair company for Cisco kit? I have a number of switches that have minor type faults on them.
Thanks in advance.

Hi
I've got a Groupwise 4 domain that I can't get rid of. The domain has been password protected and no one knows the password (done long before I started). Any ideas how to hack the password, or ways to remove the domain without damaging the other domains?
Cheers in advance.

Have you checked all the container scripts and profile objects?
Also, are you sure the mapping isn't from an NT login script? Remember the users will have to authenticate to an NT Domain and could be picking the mapping up there.
On the Client I would set the close script window to off, and...
The only new single point of failure would be in the login script, which I don't think there is a way round. If the named server dies, then you are without the data anyway. In which case you can either restore the data to another server and modify the script or bring up a replacement server...
Following the TID might solve it, depending on where the objects are moving from and to. I have solved these and also failed to solve these so I cannot say if it will definitely work. If you run through the TID and still have them, then you have only one real option.
Get in touch with Novell...
Right - There shouldn't be heavy NDS traffic during a SP install, EXCEPT as the server reboots and time syncs etc. To be honest I have run different DS levels with no ill effects but it is 'better practice' to have the same DS level.
I would take all replicas off of the Brisbane server except...
Hi
I assume this is from the Check Synch option in NDS Manager. When did the server last replicate? Have you tried a Check Continuity?
It looks like SVR2 has a problem with communication between it and SVR1 (for replication)
Also, SVR2 also has a problem with the communication between itself...
yes, in general SPs are replacement files that have known issues fixed. Novell's knowledgebase is the best place to find what's been fixed. http://support.novell.com/search/kb_index.jsp
With regards the faulty R/W, have you tried DS repair and checked the comms etc before applying patches? What...
You need a preferred tree and context for your local users set. Set GNS on for all local servers that have a Read/Write replica of you local partitions. Any read only or sub refs set GNS to OFF. I would look at the routing as a properly configured router shouldn't pass on the broadcasts etc only...
is there a large memory dump on the IBM or on the DOS partition? Also, how big is ABEND.LOG? Are you using software or hardware RAID? Could you possibly have a dead disk? Does the backup run on the same SCSI card as the hard disks, and is it running when the server abends?
On Win 2K and XP, right click Network Neighbourhood, choose properties. Select TCP/IP and choose properties. Go to ADVANCED and choose the WINS tab. Check 'ENABLE LMHOSTS LOOKUP' and import a hosts file. A decent router should cope with this in a better fashion
I would check the CMOS battery (or time source) on your Time reference server and check what time is synch'd across the network. If a reference or primary is spouting incorrect time, then all the servers will adjust their clocks.
Echo Salserocito about NW4. Also, NW4 is no longer supported after the end of this year so you would be looking at upgrading to NW 5 or 6.
I have run Netware 3 on PII hardware and Slot 1 P3. My advice is to keep the hardware as simple as possible and to stick to OEM brands such as HP, Compaq...
try setting the frame type in Jet Admin to the same as the servers rather than auto and disbling other protocol stacks (Appletalk etc though not IP obviously!), especially if you are running 802.3 on your servers (in the LAN card LOAD line in AUTOEXEC.NCF, or IPXCONFIG.NCF)and AUTO on your...
You could try SET REPLY TO GET NEAREST SERVER = OFF on your MT server as I suspect that it is replying to login broadcasts because is is the 'least busy server' This would give users a minimum of F:SYS:\PUBLIC and z: to the same, depending on your login script variables. Remember that ALL users...
