    Downgrading from IE 6 to IE 5.5

    I have done this by going into Add/Remove Programs and restoring the old configuration. However whenever I run IE now I get a Visual C++ error in Internet Explorer.exe windows will shut down. What should I do from here? I have tried the fix tool and reinstalling but it keeps coming back.
