    Compaq Array 221 and U2

    You can use it on the external port, but the 221 is a single channel controller. This means you can't use both the inside and outside at the same time. Look at getting a 3200 so you can use both channels and will not have to lose any date during the upgrade.

    The MSA1k does not support Active/Active controllers at this time. If you're talking A/A from the OS perspective, this would work without any issue.

    Not correct - jeffpenn is correct except he failed to mention that you need to go back into ACU and create new logical drive from the new free space. You can then see it in the OS. This will not give you a larger C: drive without 3rd party spanning tools.

    Where are you seeing the degraded condition? Is this reported in Insight Manager 7 or is this on the local agent's 2301 port?

    Try making a connection to the remote servers IPC share first. From the cmd prompt, enter net use \\servername\ipc$ /u:Administrator * It will ask you for the admin password for the remote machine.

    Check to see that the DCE side of your connection has a "clock rate" command int the Serial interface section of the config. YOu can tell which end is DCE by running "Show controllers".

    Clearing Status and clearing events are 2 different things. Clearing evnts will not change status, it will simply "clear the event". Try creating a query that displays on the screen what you want to accomplish and then create a task based on that query that takes the action you want.

    Desktops are not added in the same way as servers in CIm(win32 version). You need to enable Desktop mgmt in the CIm agents on the PDC/BDC and then add aline to the login script that dynamically adds the clients to the console. Insight 7 handles this much better
