More clarification: I need to round up to the nearest penny allways when the number has more the 2 places to the right of the decimal(any fractional amount of the penny to be rounded up to the next penny).
I tried this in Exel
INT((5.454545455+.005)*100)/100 = 5.45...
I need to round tax up to the nearest penny. Round() works in both directions like it should, but I need to RoundUp() like you can in Exel, but I can't seem to make it Work In Access2000

I have payroll application where I would like to lock one record at a time when a Yes/No field has been changed.
I would also like to lock that record based on a users security level.
I have a function that runs an Update Query then an Append Query. Access prompts the user to confirm each action. If the user cancels one or the other I do not get the correct results. The updated records are only true if the Append works.
How do you tell Access not to ask thes questions?

If you want a "Compound Index"
Select only ONE name for all of the fields in the field list, leave the name field blank in the others, so in my case:
Name: Fields:
Date Worked field1
field2...
I believe that what Ken has described, is a simple index, which the oracle guy does not want, and which I have already indexed the table.
