We're running an S8700 with software version R012x.01.0.411.7 and are trying to set up an E1 connecting us to a Lucent 5ESS. They're telling me I need to match up with their ISUP7N incoming and outgoing signaling type and TRKCCS7 NATRK trunk class but I'm not sure which of my ISDN settings are...
Avaya S8700 w/software version CM 1.1.3 R011x.7585.7.0.2 / eCAS 3.1
So, we've got eCAS loaded up but it's not connecting to the PBX. Using the switch wizard to connect we keep getting this error messages: Server connection attempt from unknown switch. No CDR deletion will be performed until...
Busying the boards did the trick. Here's a tip. When trying to clear in service analog line warning alarms (test-alarms-clear) allow the process to carry on until completion. Do not cancel it in the middle of the action. If you do and lines start to go out, busy and release the boards of the...
I haven't tried busying out the boards yet. That'll be next. I'm not sure if the sets that are going bad are lucent/avaya types either. I'll have to go out and look.
To make things even more interesting, I have a few extensions that give me the same test # 48 abort code of 1004 but they work just fine. All extensions in question are analog. So far, I've just been reassigning new ports and that's been working. I have a hard time accepting this many ports...
I have the same problem on different extensions on different cards in different EPN's all over camp. The only common denominator is that a test of each bad extension gives me a fail 48 with abort code 1004.
G3Rv7...Here's what's happening. I have a LOT of phones dropping out of service. Testing the station gives me a test# 48 abort with error code 1004 (tests 35 and 36 both pass). Busy/Release doesn't bring them back online but having the user disconnect from the jack and reconnect after a...
The dialtones are cross-connected to a 110-block in my building and from there I've terminated them on the first two pairs of my co trunk card's corresponding 110-block at the MDF. I then assgined those pairs ports (06a1101 and 06a1102). The main problem is these guys I'm dealing with are...
Try this command <list sta xxxx count NNN> NNN being the number of extensions you want to search through. Which ever extensions don't show up, you can use. There's also a "Find unused extensions" button on ASA you could use, but it finds them one by one.
Has anyone heard of a "City Line" card or something like that? The Alcatel switch guy says he's using a "City Line" card to dial out over the two analog lines I'm sending him.
Yes. I've got two analog lines from an alcatel switch that they want me to use as outgoing lines to them. Errors when I dial a local alcatel extension?....hell, I'm not even sure how to dial out over them from my Definity.

It seems all the clock displays on my 6408D+ phones tend to loose time. Users constantly have to resynchronize with the date-time soft key. I'm using a 6416D+ and have never had this problem. We are in a foreign country that uses 220v@50Hz. Anyone have any suggestions?
TCONN, thanks for the info, it's working. I only have one question now. Is it possible for my incoming destination to be any of my extensions instead of just the attendant or a specific extension?
