When I boot up it stalls at "Conflict I/O ports: 2F8" Tells me to press F1 to continue. If I press F1 the load continues and everything seems to work fine. C-Drive is fully accessible, programs run, CD-Rom and Floppy are accessible. How can I get rid of the notations and the pause?

After my computer goes through the Memory Test I now have to press F1 to get it to continue because I get the following message...."confilict I/O ports:2F8 Detect IDE" and at the bottom of the message it says to hit F1 to continue. Is there a way I can correct this? Thanks!

Thanks....the WINNT folder had two folders INF and System 32 that had a subfolder Drivers and no screensavers were listed, but I was able to get to them by searching for *.scr. I appreciate your responses!

I am using Win XP and would like to get rid of some of the screensavers, but could not find where they are located. Does anyone know how I can delete these from my computer? Thanks.

In Outlook Express I continue to get messages(which I do not open) that have strange looking characters in them such as: ¹Ì¾Æ¸®[â³à] I have tried blocking but continue to receive at least 2 a day. Does anyone know if these messages are safe to open and why all the "funny" characters?
