Does the PDC/BDC slow link detection settimgs override workstation slow link detection settings? If so, how do you make the slow link detection setting on the workstation priority?
We have 2 routers hooked to a frame cloud and our end users are complaining of latency. When troubleshooting remotely I notice my session will freeze for several seconds at a time. Immediately following the freeze if I do a 'show processes CPU' it shows.....
CPU utilization for five seconds...
Most of the things that your "friend" offers is free anyway. This site (tek-tips) and others like it have a plethora of information that can help one prepare for the CCNA and beyond for free. On the other hand, Braindumps can only help one "pass" but not "learn"...
Are there any sites that list sample lab configs or maybe sample lab setups? There's a book called All-In-One CCIE Lab Study Guide that is packed cover to cover with labs and configs but like everyone else I am trying to save a buck or two.
Well I dont necessarily want to trade but I appreciate the offer. Do you want to get one of the 2500's off your hands. If so, maybe we can work something out.

If I currently have a CCNA 1.0 do I need to pass CCNA 2.0 before starting on my CCNP? If so, I am gonna be crushed because I am almost ready to take the CCNP Switching exam.
You have to do what works for you and if you cannot afford the actual hardware I suggest using router simulators. Everyone is always harping on the hardware bandwagon but they need to realize that not having enough hardware can be a problem also. Lets say you ponied up enough money to purchase...
I am trying to somewhat familiarize myself with analyzing sniffer captures and I need some help on what to look for or maybe a website with useful information. I have mostly all the popular software applications but after the packets are captured I need to know how to effectively find problems...
Well I know I may sound like I am answering my own question but I assumed that I was simulating a dialup connection (without the actual modems). This is similar to a DB60 DCE to DTE cable simulating a serial link without the actual link. Is my assumption of connecting back to back aux ports...
First off I want to say hello to all the members of this Awesome site! I finally joined today after referencing this site many times in the past. I am already a member of brainbuzz and actually before joining tek-tips I did a comparison between the two sites. One major problem with brainbuzz...
