Have you found a solution to this problem? I am finding the exact same problem. Even more interesting is that, I can choose the domain user from the list & get the error when I hit OK. If I hit cancel then try and add the domain user again. This time the listbox is grayed out and I can only...
FTP will by default bring a logged in user to a directory in the root that is the same as their login name. You may be over complicating the problem. All the users can point to the same IP address, just create a folder in the root that's the same as their login name.
As an ISV we originally chose Sybase as our solution as it would run on many platforms and was fairly inexpensive. We now recommend MS SQL to most of our customers who are running on Windows. I do like the Sybase products but their reputation for originally bring buggy products to market really...
Or just cover any chance of a null coming back from the data by tacking a vbNullstring on every item you add to the array. That way nothing will ever be null & it won't hurt non null values. It's generally better to use the constant instead of "".
Have you looked at any third party data migration tools like Data Junction? www.datajunction.com. There's a pretty good learning curce but great for moving & transforming data.
Any ideas on how to create a new document based on a template with a modify password? I've tried both the Add and Open methods of the Documents collection without any luck. The user is always prompted for the password. Thanks.
If one column returned is an integer or long you can use the itemdata property of the combo box or list box.
cboResult.additem(rs!column1)
cboresult.itemdata(cboresult.newindex) = rs!column2
same deal for a listbox.
Less overhead than grid but not as pretty.
Figured it out. Make sure and check those references. Word9 (2K)library is not backwards compatible with Word8 (97). But Word8 works with Word9 (and XP too if anyone cares!)
Anyone have any idea why caling the following line of code would cause an IPF?
Set oWordActiveDoc = oWord.Documents.Add(Template:= _
sFile, NewTemplate _
:=False)
sfile is set to path + template name
oWordActiveDoc is dimmed as Word.Document
This code works on...
Thanks again guys. I do have a #4 on the daughterboard. Tried going in on 4 sets & was able to. They do eventually time out though. :) I've heard that Nortel is more efficient with its port usage than out old Lucent VM was. So was curious to see if anyone knew the details.
BTW, I was afraid to...
Figured that. I've got 2 ports in the flash box tied to 2 stations. Just wanted to know about usage & whether there was an easy way to test that they're all working.
I was told that Flash only ties up a port while a greeting is playing. Is this true? Is there any way to make sure that all 4 ports are working? I've only got 2 intercom's set up, will I need more if more than 2 internal users will be accessing Flash? Thanks in advance!
OK I know this is really stupid but I'm trying to open the PDF on the documentation CD. It says the password is the same as the default installer password. I've tried every password I can find in all the books and nothing seems to work. I'm figuring I'm in trouble here setting up this new system...
