Maybe I'm ignorant but for the life of me I can't get my thought process around your question. What do you mean by "2 columns" ?? Are you refering to printing labels 2-up? If so, I print labels 6-up using bartender with no problems. Multiple bar codes are no problem either, i.e. on a 6-up...
OK, testing further, the sendkeys statement in vba will trigger the on dirty form event in access 2000 but will not trigger the event in access 2003 (horrible inconsistency).
so, I've got to dig myself out of this rut and redesign a bunch of forms logic or stick with access 2000. microsoft...
Read the link you referred me to.
Here is the issue and rusults of some comparitive 2000 / 2003 testing.
In access 2000, if you use VB code to change the contents of a text box or otherwise dirty a "clean" form, the on dirty event will fire.
in access 2003, changing the contents of a record...
Have an access 2000 project I just ported over to another computer running acccess 2003. Tried searching but came up empty handed........
I just started testing the application and, either converted to '03 or as 2000 mdb, I have the same problem, the on-dirty events on my forms do not fire...
can you run a query against the bad table without it crashing? if so, try to create a make table query and either exclude the bad record or include only the good ones.
I started out on Citrix in a multi - user environment with both the front and back ends on the citrix server. Am now using just Terminal Services on a 2003 server using Access 2000. The migration was esentially trouble free with the exception of printer management on remote (VPN) users and to...
Since I don't know any better, haven't tried it, but why not let each report (main and sub) keep it's own totals and store the results in hidden fields. Then, at the report end, the footer say, add the fields together and display them eh?
If it were me, I'd go with 128 if certain all the scanners that will be used to scan the label are capable of reading 128. Code 128 is pretty efficient for numeric only bar codes (density, but with only 10 char this isn't a big deal) and can handle all ASCII characters if you have a need to...
and backend database is 9.2.0.5" ......... What database is this? I'm using Bartender 6.0 to design labels that get their data ODBC from an access database (relatively small, only 6,500 recs). The database resides on a terminal server, the same server that bartender is running on. The access...
Geeze, yes, heck, if you already have an asset database in access, why not merely enhance it to do what you need it to do, to print bar coded labels (very easy to do) etc etc.
Alternatively, you can just purchase pre-printed bar-coded asset tracking labels or tags and focus on the data...

Just read a post from Roy-Vidar mentioning this FAQ705-2852
I like the idea of auto compacting but ran into a problem. The problem is this:
The database resides on a server running win 2003 terminal services, the folder the database is in has...
One more thing. To make things more flexible, when I designed the labels in bartender, I saved them with the printer they print to as the "default" printer.
In my Access form, when the user clicks on the button to print sticky lables, I go through a code routine to set the default printer to...
Not familiar with "Maximo" but I use Bartender. To get it to work for us I needed a way for an associate to select items from a database and type the quantity of labels needed for each item.
To get this to work, I used Access. I designed a form with an underlying table of items sorted in...
Depends on what your trying to accomplish. You can do it as easily as installing a bar code font and using that font on a report. Some free basic fonts are available for downloading. If your needing more sophistication you can always purchase a bar code application that allows you to more...
to get the serial number to work, I had to to create a variable for Drive Serial and change the name of the Function to "GetDriveSerial". If I used "GetDriveSerialNumber", the compiler generated an error.
Have all your warehouse locations bar-coded so you can do inventory by location. maybe you have more than one location type in the facility, for example, a backstock area and a picking area (backstock is used to replenish pick.) main thing in warehousing is that you know where product is and...
I just have a button on the form and call BarTender. The label (LABEL1.btw) is designed to look at the access table via Odbc with a select statement.
Label select statement:
SELECT DISTINCT NurseryLibData.UPCode, NurseryLibData.CommonName, NurseryLibData.ItemName...
actually, it's a piece of cake to print as many labels per sheet as you want. you merely design the labels to fit, there are multiple ways to print them using seagull, i initially started off using an excell spreadsheet that contained a "quantity" column and other column(s) containing the data...
