Hello,
I have found a record in one of the tables of my company's database that has somehow become corrupt.
When viewed using table view the record shows random characters and when viewed from the form its related to the field are filled with chinese characters and the autonumber field displays a massive number.
When i try to delete he record and presented with the pop up box 'key cannot be recognised.'
I would like to know -
If anyone has experienced this before?
What causes it?
How can I remove the record?

Thanks

Yes, everytime I try to compact and repair the database access crashes.

can you run a query against the bad table without it crashing? if so, try to create a make table query and either exclude the bad record or include only the good ones.

Or, alternatively, create a new empty table with the same fields and copy and paste all the records into it except the bad one(s).
