Any ideas how I can automatically export the name of adistribution list and its members (users) into a text file?
I'm using Exchange 5.5 and want to print off all my distribution lists so they can be checked by other people.
Thanks,
I cant get my 4050TN printer to work correctly. It prints 10-15 pages of jargon when I try to print a test page. Im running Windows 2000 Professional. Reset to factory settings. Downloaded latest driver. Checked cable's connected correctly. Changed Bios Parallel port settings from ECP to EPP and...
Are you using Insight Manager to monitor the server? Does it throw up any hardware related issues?
Certainly sounds a weird problem, possibly related to hardware.
Use Compaq Insight Manager to check the hardware status.
You can connect two Microsoft Exchange Server messaging systems that are in different Microsoft Exchange Server Organizations by using the Dynamic RAS or X.400 connectors. The drawback to this is that no directory information is replicated. To send mail to users in the other Organization, you...
We recently removed an unused exchange server from a site (called london_mail). It wasnt the primary server. Having copied over public folders we trashed the server without uninstalling it properly (as per Microsofts instructions! doh!).
Since doing this we have had some users complain of poor...
I am currently evaluating various Intranet products in the market. I installed and rolled out Sharepoint in my last company and will possibly be doing the same again (if we decide sharepoint is the way to go).
However one of the requirements on the "wish list" is the ability to chat...
I've heard of this problem before and know its a known issue, but does anyone have any idea how to solve it?
My users are often prompted to enter a username and password while browsing the intranet site.
Most users have read access.
I added the server http address into Internet Explorer as...
I have discovered that my test machine I was trying to install the client onto (which was a PDC in its own domain) still failed if I tried to install the client manually (I assume it was looking for a CAP on its local domain), but, the client did install automatically (through network discovery)...
I have read conflicting information on this, one book claims the client can be installed if the SMSSERVICE account has local admin rights (to enable connect to C$), however I have also read that the account to use is SMSClient_"Site Name" and even SMSCliToknAcct&.
Any ideas ?
I have about 65 machines that are missing the SMS Client on my LAN. They all fall within the subnet boundarys defined, but the client hasnt installed because these machines (most NT and Win2K) are not members of the domain but members of a local workgroup.
Most of these machines belong to the...
My SMS database is just growing and growing... It still contains machines that have been off the network for over 2 months now. Ive checked the WINS servers and the old computers have removed themselves. Any ideas how I can force the database for purge itself and remove clients no longer listed...
I created one myself as well. I find the install scripts supplied by Microsoft often are over complicated and fail to work in some cases.
I created an administrative version of Visio by running setup.exe /a to enter in the licence key for distribution.
Having got this administrive copy of...
I've had this problem as well. It could be any of the following:
If you have multiple networks, make sure you have the subnets defined within SMS.
Make sure you have your client access points set up correctly - if you are running a domain environment then SMS would of during installation...
None of my packages install when the user is logged off. I am trying to install the package to WinNT and Win2K. When a user is logged in - no problem !
My SMS installation account has domain admin rights.
Any ideas what I'm doing wrong ?
Does "whether or not a user is logged on"...
I have asked the same question - if SMS has a special package ID for each piece of software surely there is a master list somewhere !!! I've looked and found nothing. !!!!!
You cant do this via command line, only using the admin setup command.
To do this you need to run the office Setup.exe /a command. This command creates an administative point on your network and copies the contents of the office CD to a network share of your choice.
When you run the command...
I am running SMS 2.0 with SP3. I have configured software metering as neccessary and have the client installed on all machines on the LAN. I have also configured the data summarisation with an age of 1 week with a granularity of 1 hour. I have entered details for about 10 different licenced...
