If you have re-located the installation of Office 2000 on your new network, when the prompt comes up asking for it, you can browse to the new location. And you will have to do this for each PC. Personally if it's a small amount of PCs, I would just re-install office. RSCHIC

Is it possible that this pst file is open somewhere else, do you have it shared out???? If so, this is an issue because pst files can not be opened in multiple instances. If the pst file is not shared, then try running the Inbox Repair tool to see if you have some corrupt files.
