I have a backend DB and when I relocate it to another computer or server I need to re-link the front-end.
Have done this numerious times, but this one front-end when re-linking keeps asking me for the location of every table in the front-end. What a pain and it shouldn't if I select the...
I have a friend that has this problem and it's driving me nuts.
In Outlook 2003 when she created a New Message and clicks on the To: field, no address book is available to chose from.
Went to the Contact folder and properties and the Outlook Address Book and the option to select "Contacts"...
When you install Acrobat it also installed a ACROBAT PRINTER which should be an available PRINTER.
Open the Word document and then PRINT to the Acrobat printer.
Works everytime for me.
If it printed then it should also open Acrobat and you can view the new PDF document.

Jock:
Thanks for all the infomation. I've been checking all my emails in the Options and for the longest time the X-Priority 3 was showing up in the SPAM junk. So that was my thought on using it as a filter. But just yesterday I received an email from a friend and checking the Options in...
Can someone explain just what X-Priority: 3 is? It's located in the header and I'm finding that for the most part it only appears in SPAM MAIL. That may be a good thing as I might be able to set up a filter at my ISP level and keep all this crappy SPAM from even downloading.
I have OUTLOOK...
I would have to go back and check on one thing. This program was written way back and I think it may have been written in Access 2.0. I have some 2.0 books and on Monday I'll see what it says in 2.0 for creating a text box containing concatenation. Maybe that was the case back then and 97...
Hi:
Have several Access 97 programs to convert to 2003 and have run into a strange problem with some reports.
I have Control with concatentation within the control (Text and data to form a meaningful paragraph). It works fine in 97, but when converted to 2003 I get #Name? in it's place.
Here...
PH,
You did it my man! Fixed the problem. I'll save the fix (hard copy) as we are converting hundreds of computers over from Win98/Office97 to WinXp/Office2003 and expect to be called for more of the same.

Have a DB in Access97 that opens and works just fine in Access97. My company has converted over to Office XP (2003) and now when I try to open the Access97 DB or Convert the DB I get the following errors. Missing or Broken VBE reference to the file 'GRPWISE.EXE" or 'GWCMA1.DLL or 'GWAB1.OCX or...
The reason is there is a BUG in the 2003 Access where if there is a copy of Access 97 also installed on the same computer this will occur. There is a fix on the Microsoft Knowledge Base but I tried it and didn't help.
Sorry I don't have the link to the KB article, but you can go there and do a...
I installed Office 2003 a while back and I just tried to use the Link Table Manager and the dialog box pops up but doesn't show any tables. There are linked tables in the Table list.
I took a database and used the Split Database and created linked tables and tried the Link Table Manager on...
Thanks for both of your replies.
Your first one sort of fits the bill. Since I wasn't getting this Password dialog box with WinME, I assumed it had to do with the XP installation. So I went tinkering around in the XP machine and started to check off some "sharing" options and rebooting and...
I'll try and keep this short.
Have 2 computers connected through a LinkSys wired router. One had WinMe and the other Win98. The Win98 computer is my knock-a-round beta machine.
I could connect to the WinMe OK from the Win98 to transfer files etc.
I just upgraded the WinMe computer to WinXP...

I installed Office 2003 on a new computer. I imported my Outlook (.pst) data from Office XP and everything imported OK.
All my Contact folders are there with all the data.
If I create a new email message and select To: - it only shows the root CONTACTS folder and none of the sub-folders.

How do you keep those darn security dialog boxes from popping up everytime you open a DB in Access 2003.
You have to click on about 3 pop-up and answer Yes or No to get to your DB. What a pain especially if you want the DB to open for someone who doesn't know what to do if the pop-up pop up...
If my memory is correct, MEMO fields are just that, a BIG field (64,000+) that stores information that can not be searched, sorted, used in a query etc. If you need to do any of the above, the field must be a TEXT field and that is limited to 255 characters.
Hope this helps,

Jetta:
Thanks for the response and the added link.
Soon after I sent the request for help, I went back into Outlook and opened every tab on the Options selection and looked around for some hint of what ever I could find to maybe check a box for graphics etc. Found nothing I could see that...
