Under a NT user profile I have good performance – but for an other NT profile performance is bad. Both users are administrators and are in the same groups.
Both user are connecting to the database using sql server permissions ie the SA account.
What could this be? – I am baffled.

Basically we are displaying demo data on both machines and I am simply restoring the demo data on to both.
I think it is something like a network setting or user profile. As I have just discovered that under a different user profile I have good performance – but for others profiles performance...
I am having performance problems with SQL Desktop edition.
I have installed the desktop edition on two windows 2000 clients. One machine works fine the other one is very slow when doing queries - The machines are exactly the same spec.
All other applications including browsing the network...

I have been trying to install MSSQL 7 desktop version on NT and W98 machines from the small business server CD. On installation I am told that the server components will not be installed. How can I install the server components?
