Solution found: On the ArcServe server, this one running Linux RH6.2, make sure that the loop-back address (127.0.0.1)is listed in the /etc/hosts file. When I schedule a job in the Backup Manager>Method/Schedule>Media rules, I can enter the Media Pool Name. When I 'Tab', it completes the Media Pool Information data. Backup Manager>Destination lists this pool, and the individual tape names correctly. So that seems to be set right. I am not...- lipperman
