Hi All
I am currently doing R+D on 3rd party SSL vpn. Obviously one of the advantages is the ability to cleanse a client of session data. As part of the process of building a test plan a colleague posed me a question that I can't answer. Is there anyway to view independently the contents of the...
Thanks thedaver for your help... although I think you misunderstand my dilemma slightly.
As I understand it the rpm I want to install won't install because /usr/sbin/update-alternatives isn't present. I did some reading on this and this appears to be a debian tool for dealing with symbolic...
Hello!
I am trying to install some .rpm packages for Aplaws (based on the RedHat CMS app) on Advanced Server 2.1. One of the packages produces a dependency warning as follows...
[root@aplaws root]# rpm -Uvh ccm-tools-servlet-resin-2.1.1-2.noarch.rpm
error: failed dependencies...
Thanks guys
gcc alone requires
binutils >=2.12.90.0.7-1
glibc-devel >=2.2.90-12
libgcc >=3.2.2-5
These then have there own problems. The real stumbling block though is glibc-devel-2.3.2-11.9.i386.rpm. When I try to install glibc-common to enable this I recieve the following error.
glibc <...
Hi All
I am trying to install gcc-3.2.2-5.i386.rpm on Red Hat 9 and am encountering dependency hell. A search around newsgroups suggests that the quickest route out is to install "the development utilities from the red hat cd". However this wasn't done at install and no-one seems to be able to...
That's not really what I was concerned about. My worry is/was that as the schema partition cannot marked as authoritative for restore that if i have to roll back the extensions a replicated copy from another dc would be able to supercede my rollback.
Thanks for your response Silvias.
The way I am feeling about this now is that as the Schema Master is a single as opposed to Multi master role there will no other writable copies of the schema in the forest with higher version numbers a System State restore will do the trick.
Any one else...
Hello All
I am planning on extending the schema of the root domain in our forest this week by running Exch2003 ForestPrep. Now - I may be a little over cautious - but I am concerned that I don't have a rollback plan in case of catastrophe.
I understand that the schema partition of AD cannot be...
Hello!
Has anyone figured out yet how to stop a 2003 rdp session "locking" after an idle period yet? A dandy security feature for sure - but not popular with the punters.

Hello
I wondered if anyone had any insight or documentation about setting up NG FP3 to work with an external certificate authority. I would like to have our installation working with a Windows 2003 CA as well as default ICA. The ultimate aim would be to setup l2tp connections via the firewall...
Hi Rudy
Sorry no. Foretunately (for me!) we decided not to deploy the particular app on that server so it fell off my radar. I would be interested to know if anyone can solve it though as it will back to haunt me I'm sure!
Jem
I read something on the net which suggested this is a MFXP FR2 issue resolved in FR3. Anyone else heard this? I am trying to find out from the vendor his FR level.
