Hello

One of our depts is using a hosted 3rd party app delivered via NFUSE over the internet using https.

Is it possible to use a setting in appsrv.ini or in the launch.asp to make the connection via our proxy server rather than having to open 443 on our firewall?

TIA

Thanks for your response. The setup/problem I have is.

ICA web clients sitting behind an ISA proxy server and seperate firewall. Both http and https are redirected via the proxy server. IE6.

When users attempt to connect to the published app they encounter a "cannot connect to metaframe error". netstat shows that an "https" connection is attempted. Subsequently freeing the port on the firewall allows connectivity.

I have made the following ammendments to to appsrv.ini but these do not help.

ICASOCKSProxyHost=my.proxy.server
ICASOCKSProxyPortNumber=my.proxy.port

I have seen a similar thing with TSAC sessions where the rdp was redirected via script in the page to 443. However as the traffic was not actually https it missed the proxy and was dropped by the firewall. Only opening up 443 on the firewall solved the problem.

Having said that I really feel like I shouldn't have to do this here as ica supports https as transport and the client has some sort of proxy awareness. Where am I going wrong?

TIA

I read something on the net which suggested this is a MFXP FR2 issue resolved in FR3. Anyone else heard this? I am trying to find out from the vendor his FR level.
