im just planning to start off. actually, i have my database installed in a windows2000 environment, but i want to migrate it in a sun solaris box? how can i do it.. if i will start off with scratch?
ive created a temporary solution in this problem, that is by
creating reports from crystal reports.. but that doesnt solve the problem, coz i really wanted to integrate my reports into my running apps.
but there is an error prompt that says: runtime error 91:
object variable or with block variable not set.
what can i do.. sorry if i kept on bugging you.

why not try using a non-based table and have it store temporarily the number of current record that is being processed. all you need to do is create a variable (that will serve as counter) as number. you now have to populate and update the current transaction count that is being processed...
well, its really easy to save an oracle generated report to a file. you just have to install a generic text only printer in your windows environment, then add the print to text parameter from your oracle report designer to dump the output to a filename (being specified at runtime.)
