My first instinct would say to have the person resend the doc as an attachment instead of embedded inside the email.
They might have done that by mistake.

ok I think I found it. Supposedly, this is by design.
After the cancellation, on the resource calendar, the word "Canceled" precedes
the meeting subject and Show time as is set to Free. This information remains so
that you can see the nature of the canceled meeting.
So what they are...
As far as I know, you can't prevent this from coming up. But, it looks like if they even choose "delete without sending a cancellation" it will still free up the resource booked in the calendar, just not notify the people. Am I reading this right? Is that what you are concerned about...
