It's been a while since I dabbled, so I can't answer your question directly, but this guide helped me a ton when I was messing with them.

We're you able to get this resolved? We're running into the same issue now with several J179s and the JEM24s. Trying new firmware now, going to try the suggestion of booting without the module and installing it after logging in next.
We had a similar issue. In our case, the issue was bandwidth limits between network regions. Check "display ip-network-region x" and check the WAN-BW-Limits between your trouble regions.
Is anyone still using Operational Analyst to pull reports? From what I can tell, even the newest iteration requires use of Internet Explorer to pull some reports that require Java. Does anyone know of a client or any other way to pull historical reports from this system or has everyone already...
I realized last night that I never updated this. I don't have anything useful to add. While the SIP provider was troubleshooting a separate issue, they made a change and, while they didn't fix the issue they were trying to, the change somehow fixed my EC500 issue. I wish I could add anything...
My BP has been sending traceSBC captures to Avaya for review. They've had us try a couple sigma scripts with no success as of yet. I'm trying to better understand the traceSBC to understand what I'm looking at. As soon as I have more news, I'll continue to update this thread.
I was incorrect about the trace my BP ran. It was a wireshark, but I am unclear on where it was run from. Either way, it didn't provide anything useful. I found that I do have an inbound TN still active on my old SIP circuit. Calling that number still works as it used to and the traceSBC is...
I'm going to be working with my BP tomorrow morning (low volume on the SBC) to do some PPM traces to see what comes back. I'll update once I have something back.
The sigma script we are using is for outbound calls to remove the extension names from appearing. I've pasted it below. When there is no audio (ec500 is configured), there is a line "Av-Call-Appearance:..." with my extension which is not present in the call without ec500 configured.
within...
So the difference I can see is when there is no audio, I am seeing a line indicating something different. I'll do some googling to see what I can turn up. (SIP: 200 OK (INVITE) (SDP: [IP and PORT] RTP/AVP 0 101 13 sendrecv) where as the call with audio, the 13 code is missing from that line...
Page 2 of the station form has a "per button ring control" that should be set to "y" and then that will give you an additional option on the bridged appearance button on that station to ring or not.
Edit: those instructions are for ASA. In your screenshot it looks like you have the Ring option...
We recently changed phone SIP providers and an odd issue has presented itself with EC500 configured phones (whether EC500 is enabled or not).
When calling into our PBX from the configured phone, in my case my cellphone, I hear the ring back but no other audio. I don't hear announcements, DTMF...
We ended up implementing the script with a minor change. Instead of "within session "INVITE", it is "within session "all". It was added to the advanced tab of the server configuration for the profile between the session manager and the CM. It is working as intended and our extension names are no...
I've had this too and always just assumed since the session terminated abnormally, the station isn't released from the softphone like it normally would and a busy/release or just a timeout would be needed. I'd love to find out that I'm wrong though.
Thanks biglebowski. I don't have much/any experience scripting for my SBC, but that is the exact script I found from that same site. (I'm going to have to send John Waber a thank you!) I sent the script over to my BP to review/assist. It looks like there are a couple places I can put the script...
Thanks Dude. I'm in the US and the public table is doing what I need as far as changing the number (I don't need it masked), I just need the name to not be the agent. I'll keep that tip in my back pocket though, it could come in handy.
Is it only the one agent? Is it possible their agent ID is hardcoded somewhere in a vector or something? Maybe a list usage extension would help.
Edit: I read too quickly that you said more than one.
@mjm23 I have the public table set and it is sending out the number I want, but it sounds like when calls are being sent out a SIP trunk, there is no way to block the name from being sent with it at the CM level. It's looking like kyle555 is correct that this needs to be scripted in the SBC, so...
When you say override the name, do you mean just changing the name of the station or is there somewhere else I should be looking?
I'm all set with the public table, but I don't get into the SBC enough to know what I'm looking for as far as overriding the name.
