It's pretty clear from all of their communications, marketing and whatnot, that Avaya's heart is not in on prem solutions such as IPO anymore. There hasn't been much evolution in the product and they're pushing ACO more and more.
Hello gents,
In release 11.1, the notes says it's now possible to have a user authenticate in IX Workplace using their SSO credentials and it would log their extension automatically instead of signing in 2 times:
I'm trying to understand how this works because in typical Avaya fashion...
Hello everyone,
We have a client that wants to have 3rd party SSL for ease of deployment of IX Workplace (instead of loading the IPO's root CA on their PCs).
Reading Avaya's knowledge base on Implementing IP Office PKI: they talk about having the an external root CA and intermediate CA loaded...
@ teletechman: look into Microsoft Teams. Many businesses are switching to it. It's short on features right now, but MS bought Metaswitch, so Teams will become a proper PBX eventually. Cisco/Avaya/Ring/Mitel should be worried, honestly.
Deploying Teams is more involded than ACO, so that's...
I'm trying to create one with Let's Encrypt, but it's a total pain in the ass.

If we could import, say, a CSV file with...
Yes, I got it to work.
The issue was that my VM had 2 NICs and 2 DSN servers. The name resolution wasn't working for my IPO's FQDN. Once I deactivated the second NIC, it started working.
You gotta make sure that One-X is properly configured with a host name that is correct. I noticed the host...
Mohamed,
Are you using the IPO as a certificate authority?
If so, don't forget to generate its identity certificate from server manager on port 7071. I set mine to something like this (obviously change the parameters to fit your setup):
Subject Name: IPOSRV1.example.com (in my case, IPOSRV1...
I re-tried this morning with a brand new VM install and used port 9443 in the Mulitimedia service in IX Workplace and got the same error. I wish Avaya would document this better...
IF One-X Portal is part of the main server (IPO Server Select), does it take the identity of that server, or is a separate identity cert needs to be generated and imported into One-X ?
