Thank you Valamagules! I guess that will be my new step 3 in a SOP depending on what the first two searches return. Knowing right where to go will make this a lot easier.
Thanks again!
To expand with a little more detail on my confusion, recently ran a LOCATE NUMBER command to see if a four digit number was in use that I wanted to use for a routing number in the IVR. The response I received was "The number refers to a Non Prime Broadcast Group.". I do not know what to do...
I'm not trying to talk down about the Mitel. I just want to have a detailed procedure that will display to me anywhere in the entire phone system where a four digit number, dialable or not, would be in use. Will the three steps I could think of above provide that? Or should there be a 4th or...
So for lack of a less abrasive way to say it, if the system is not smart enough to be able to be searched in one place, what is a proper SOP to be sure a number is not is use anywhere in the system? So far my guess is:
Step 1. run a "LOCATE EXTENSION xxxx"
Step 2. run a "LOCATE NUMBER xxxx"...
Here is another example. Direct Inward Dialing Service on the MiVoice Business has DID number 5420 set to Destination numer 8991.
Maintenance Command entered is LOCATE NUMBER 5420. The reply is "The number is not in use."
Maintenance Command entered is LOCATE EXTENSION 5420. The reply is...
I should be more specific, sorry. When I same it came back with nothing I meant that it came back saying the number is not in use. It did return a text from the command, just that it can't see that the number is being used in the DID form.
Hi, I have a bit of Avaya background and I am used to being able to run a list usa ext xxxx and find out anywhere a number is being used on the PBX. I was able to already find where a number was being used, but I can't seem to find it using the maintenance commands even when I know where it is...
Well I have tried every combination of Lines and line keys on the polycom as well as having additional keys programmed for line appearances in the MVB set to Multicall. The CX5500 does not seem to be able to join more that two calls to create a 3 party conference. Doesn't make sense when the...
That's a great thought. I only have it set up for one line currently. I have multiple 8 person bridges as well as the AWV for users that want to have a conference call. It would be nice to have at least 4 lines on the device for a simple meeting with a few people calling in to the room...
IT WORKED!!! Even though Mu711 was in the codec list, there must have been too many options and it was grabbing the wrong one. Removed all but Mu711 and it works perfect now.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
Brad
I do have the CX5500 statically set to the voice vlan. I also checked with our network engineer to see if there was any kind of firewall issue, he told me that with it all on the same vlan, it never even goes to the firewall.
Additional thinking this through, the device did profile properly in...
Hello,
I am new to Mitel. I am trying to add a Polycom CX5500 to the system but I keep getting one way audio from the CX5500 to my 6920 desk phone. No audio coming out the CX5500. I do have working Polycom Trio 8800's on the system. I copied the config from one working extension to a new one...
