I think there is 2 options.
You can use the dtmf breakout for the user and set 1,2 or 3 to 777. When a call is sent to vm press one of these options. You could also set one of the selector codes in the AA to vm collect.

Hello,
I use the Fluke CIQ-100 CableIQ. It also qualifies the cable, saves reports and has port blink.
The Klein Commander also looks nice (I’ve never used one). It does everything the CIQ does accept qualify the cable.

Hello, just wanted to chime in. The brand of cable you are using (True Cable) is probably one of the best cable manufacturers you can get on Amazon. It is ETL listed and they Fluke test all of their cable. They also don’t offer any CCA crap.

Hello, I'm 99% positive that I have installed a 3920 Cordless phone on a regular DS port using basic mode 10.0, although I'm reading that the 3920 only works on an etr card. Anyone have experience with this?
Thanks

That's correct, you probably don't. The extension number of the port can be completely different than the user number that is created. You're going to have to determine which port the actual digital phone is plugged into and change that extension port number to the user number.
Intrigant would...
If this was an outbound caller id problem, I think you would get a
"call incompatible" message rather than "number busy".
Are you having this problem with all phones or just one?

I installed a PRI on a basic mode system once and it was a pain in the butt. I imagine sip trunks being the same result. I don't dislike basic mode like most installers, but I would never try to use sip trunks on basic.

I installed a couple Polycom Soundstation IP7000 conference phones on ip office earlier this year. They worked well, although kind of a pain to get registered. Remember you will also need a 3rd party sip license for the Avaya IP Office.

This is how the Avaya IP Office basic works. You can login to vm using visual voice with the assigned passcode. If you try to access a mailbox from another ext. or remotely, the ip office voicemail will prompt you to record your name and change your passcode.

I had this same problem a few years back. After a day of troubleshooting I eventually defaulted the system, reprogrammed and everything has worked since.
