Forwarding mail to an external email address......

Craig Yup, i was getting a little excited!! I didn't wait long enough for the object to replicate... Looks ok now though. I thought the outlook solution was a little messy, and was sure the contact object was the route to go down. Patience is a virtue!! Thanks for your help!! Regards, Nelv :-)

Forwarding mail to an external email address......

I have found a way to do this. It requires that you set up a rule in Outlook (and hold on the server) to forward mail to the contact set up in AD Users. This is a little messy but it works......

Forwarding mail to an external email address......

I tried this, but when selecting the forward to option on the Exchange General tab, the directory listing does not have the contact i set up. I do beleive this is the path to go down, so i'll keep investigating... thanks for your input. Best regards.

    Memory throttling for Exchange 2000

Dan, On further examination of this problem, i found that indeed store does give back memory to apps that need it. I wasn't, at the time of the post, aware that Exchange2000 used dynamic buffer allocation. Best Regards, N.

Getting recipient name is not recognized messages (Genuine recipient

I found this to be caused by my server being blacklisted due to an unsecured mail relay problem. If you have smtp re-routing turned on, but not tightly secured, you may get blacklisted. Go to the following url and type in the address of your server, this will tell you if you have been...

Our e-mail being used as a relay..??

Have you got smtp mail rerouting turned on (required for POP3/IMAP)??? If so, you are being targeted because of this. This is known as open relaying. Spammers use open relays to send out mass mailings. I suggest you stop rerouting smtp mail, unless you have pop3 users. If so, try tightening...

Restoring email on Outlook2000 client from Exchgsvr 5.5

Neeko, I take it you think the messages are still on the Exchange server? if so.... Use the EXMERGE utility. Run on the exchange server, and it will merge the mailfile to a PST file. You can then open the PST in outlook as a personal folder, or import. Note, the exmerge utility has been updated...

    Exchange 5.5 site probs

Is the other server in the same exchange site? If not, i've found using the exmerge utility very useful for moving mailboxes. As long as the user has a mail box setup on the other server, with the same name, emerge will merge the user's mail into the new mailbox.
