I don't think you can have the same extension on both while both are simultaneously registered. You can work around it by assigning the mobile app a different extension, then enter that extension in the 'Follow me' settings of the desk extension. This will cause both phones to ring when the...
Thanks For the info. I did have RFC2833 protocol set for the sip trunk and it was confirmed that the Allstream gateway was as well. For what it's worth, the problem 'magically' went away later that day and hasn't returned. I hate not knowing.
Hi all, I have a customer with multiple UCX 250's R6 all updated, each with an Allstream SIP trunk. Recently they have received complaints that some callers can't navigate the IVR via touchtone. After some experimentation, we found that the problem only occurs when using ATT cell phones(all...
Hi all, I have a customer with two sites, both current UCX 250's, both have a Que setup with 4 or 5 agents each,, all 5010 infinity phones, all in Xstim mode. Each site can monitor the other's que via a wallboard, and there is a sip trunk tying the two systems together. An agent at site A...
Does anyone know how the 'keep alive' feature in Nortel Settings works? I have had some issues with remote 5010 phones disconnecting and reconnecting constantly. Others on the same system have no problems. We've done lots of troubleshooting on the sonic wall, and the remote router to no...
I have a ticket open with Callisto. We have packet capture running and are hoping for a call example durring the capture. I will update callisto if/when they can investigate.
I should have called it a SIP proxy, my bad, but actually, If I must explain, they were the ones that wanted to put that proxy in to provide service. Not me. I thought it was unusual also, and it's the only setup I have like that. It's most likely because the customer uses comcast for...
Hi, this one is stumping me. My Customer has a UCX 250 with 4 DSM 16's, T7316e's throughout. Everything has been updated recently as part of solving this problem. The symptoms are that a Que agent receives a call, but several times a day, can not release or hang up. One phone in particular...
Hi, I have a customer with an odd problem. UCX250 updated with infinity 5010's in xstim mode. Their phones were connected on the 2nd lan port on the ucx via a poe switch, but the customer decided to move them to be on the main network . There are only 16 phones, so they did not use a vlan to...
Thanks for the response. For reasons of their own that don't totally make sense to me, and other reasons that do make sense, like not having speakers at the workstations, the customer does not really want to utilize the voicemail to email feature. Even as I suggested that they do it just for...
Hi, I have a customer with 5 sites using a UCX250 at each site interconnected over private intranet with SIP trunks. They have a situation where a caller leaves a voice message at site A, and the user needs to forward the message on to site B. I suggested using virtual extensions as a drop...
Thanks for your answer, I didn't see this response right away. I did think of that scenario , however I was unsure how the site A UCX could monitor the busy/idle status of the phone at site B in order to determine whether to offer a que call. I definitley would have tried this solution...
Hi folks, I need some more brains on this. This is hard to test so I want to make sure I start down the right path.
Two sites, both UCX250's . All phones are Nortel. Site 1 has a que with dynamic agents. Site 2 has a receptionist that answers incoming clinic calls. A SIP trunk connects the...
I reported this to support, and a few days later was informed of a patch for systems using PRI's. I applied, and no issues for 4 weeks...fingers crossed.
Hi guys, I need some ideas on this. I've got support from the distributor, but I thought I'd try this forum also. I have a customer with a 6 month old UCX250 (recently updated). 3 times in six weeks the UCX has "gone down".
The system is set up as a ucx 250 (PRI) and infinity one with...
An alternative method to outbound routes is to create a misc application with a feature code of your chosen 4 digits. Then point it to your misc destination that has the remote phone number. Then it can be used in other modules as a transfer destination as well.
