Reseating both modules and reprogramming the VM ports did the trick. The modules probably got lose because of the movement. VM can be accessed fine now.
As for the reset- if I run a #989, set Auto Backup to active - internal, set the date to Feb 1st and the time to 1:59 will it override...
Hi,
Thanks for your reply. I tried that and it turns out Extension 19 was already in hunt group 7. I removed all other extensions that were in that group and still cannot get VM to answer. The Voicemail module still has an orange light- (it was green in pictures from when it was in service). I...
Hi all,
About a year ago we removed our Avaya Partner ACS R8.0 and upgraded to an Asterisk VoIP system. The system has been sitting in a closet since and I'm getting ready to sell it. (If you're interested, please get in touch.)
I need to remove all voicemails, AA, speed dials, etc. because I...
Ok, found the entry point and followed the cables. One cable goes to the first floor jack and two cables just go up. Could there be a 66 block in the attic or somewhere? Maybe the builder was lazy and didn't want to run cable for that long.
And the house was built in 2003-2004.
Though if it is...
Hi,
I'm trying to install an Avaya Partner ACS System into a home. The house has Cat 3 drops in most rooms so about 8-10 drops total. Might even need to put more in on the first floor as there's only one for that entire floor. I took a look at the box outside the connects the landline to the...
Hi,
I am trying to use the Config Upload/Download page (/ConfigUpDownload) to copy settings from one IP Phone to another. When I upload the downloaded file to another phone, the page will say "upload completed" and "reboot to apply changes". But after I click reboot and the phone reboots, it...
@ kokolino23 ,
Yeah, I learned the hard way. I thought about trying to revert back to Minet, However, I could not change to Minet as I had previously enabled enhanced SIP. You can't revert back to Minet after you turn on the enhanced SIP mode.
Good news, I fixed the problem.
For those in the future who come across this or those who are just curious to know how it was fixed, here you go:
I upgraded the firmware which I guess replaced the corrupted SIP package. I did so by setting up a TFTP server with TFTPGui. Next I extracted the...
Hi,
I accidentally powered off a 5224 phone on boot and now it won't boot. It is in enhanced SIP Mode and worked fine. It says "booting SIP" and then "starting" and immediately goes to a blank screen. I have tried resetting the phone with no luck.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Sam
Sorry for digging up the old thread, but the Record Call Feature (24) isn't working. When someone presses the programmed button, we get a message from the voicemail lady saying "The Record a Call Feature is turned off. Goodbye."
How to turn it on?
Also, how do we check to see if the Partner...
Endpoint licenses... $85 each on CDW? No way.
I really wish these IP Office system were as simple as the Partner systems. Looks like we might go with a Asterisk server with Avaya IP Phones...
So theoretically, as long as there's enough ports on the switch, we can have an infinite number of phones without additional expansion cards and licenses??
So for IP Phones, how would we connect multiple ones to the controller? I saw in a video tutorial that it goes to the WAN port, which there is only one of. Is this where a switch comes in?
Ok. Thanks for the help.
I'm now looking at what I believe is a newer version, IP500.
So how would this connect over the network? I still do not understand how expansions work- obviously we need to pop a Module into the system, but would the phone still need to connect directly to the system? I...
