Thanks for all the direction advice on this question. I believe my customer will allow me to hire an Avaya Business Partner to upgrade this site as you have suggested.
I will lookup the Provision tool and learn all I can about it.
If the migration software is similar to Nortel I would rather...
I Have a G430 Media Gateway PBX S8300 / release cm5.2. This system is all digital (no-iP) and this acct. needs additional digital ports and analog ports. I already have 2 em200 modules installed on this g430. I would like to upgrade this customer to the g450 cabinet to give me more slots. So...
Here is my scenario,
I have 16 3904 stations with the same 2 way hotline to another branch office. I use the key 5 hot d 5 XXXXX XXXXX and it works great.
The same hotline key is programmed identical on all 16 sets.
Here is my question?????
Is there a way I can set only 9 phones to ring...
Suggestion.......
You can add the ext in question as a secondary DN in the voicemail profile of all the sets. Also, you may try building a 500 set as the same ext and using marp to go to voice mail. Analogs take presedence in this config.
We have the same setup in our Call Center

You know you are a Nortel Tech when......
In an Avaya class your training partner doesn"t know what CLI is and how fast you can type through the Loads!
The system is using the caller id of the originating call. There are several things that can be tried here....
In Mermail........ add 7855 as an Ext Id for 4014 box attributes. (if it is not a dn conflict)
This has worked in several apps for my company.
I have used both PuTTY and Secure CRT for several yrs. I do like PuTTY better because of its ease of use and its IP SSH applications or base serial connections thru modem or direct connect.

See if you can make the 2616 work at the PBX room TN closest to the switch tail. If it works closest to the switch and not at the jack, it may be a loop lenghth problem or funky impedance issue with that set.
With that being said....you could try amnother TN off another Superloop IPE shelf...
