    Connection to SBS 2000

This problem just started a couple of days ago. We are using the server only as a file server, no one actually logs into the domain. But everyone's username and password are on the server and the connection modes are set to classic - local users authenticate as themselves. Everything has been...

    No Hunt Group

Wow, I feel like an idiot now. You're right, I do have a lot to learn about this. As embarrassing as it is to admit, I didn't even notice that I could scroll down on that window to see the Edit button. Thanks for the help guys, I would have been so screwed without this site!

    No Hunt Group

So far I've only merged changes, no reboots since adding the users.

    No Hunt Group

So how do I get the groups back in there? No groups show up under the hunt group tab on the user settings and the new users don't show up in the group options either.

    No Hunt Group

Yes, that doesn't help. Some possibly helpful info... Originally I deleted all the users that were in there except one. I used that one as a template and copied and pasted, just changing the users name and extension. I assumed that the hunt groups would have also remained unchanged, but they...

    No Hunt Group

Using an IP500 V2 7.0(31) I right click user and click New. Even if I copy/paste a user that has hunt groups, they disappear.

    No Hunt Group

Whenever I add a new user there are no hunt groups listed to add the user to. Need help quick.

    Embedded Voicemail to Email

    Oh well, Thanks.

    Embedded Voicemail to Email

Working on getting the embedded voicemail to copy users email, but I'd like to change the subject line. Right now it looks like this "Voicemail Message (Extn27(Josh Sullivan)>#Josh Sul) From:27" and I'd like to get rid of everything in parentheses. Thanks, Josh

    Message Button on 9508 Phone

Ha, so easy. I thought for sure it was going to be in the button programming section. Thank you!

    Message Button on 9508 Phone

Whenever I press the "Message" button on any of the phones it acts as though I used the *17 short code instead of opening visual voice mail. I can access the visual voice mail from the "Features" softkey, but I'd like for the message button to do that. According to the quick guide it's supposed...

    IP500V2 Call Park/Unpark

Ok, I'm just going with two static park buttons. Thanks for the help everyone.

    IP500V2 Call Park/Unpark

That makes sense. You're right, most calls would be transferred and only a few would need to be paged. I am curious though as to how you would use a short code to park a call.

    IP500V2 Call Park/Unpark

When do you put in the short code to park them? This is for people who work out in the shop and don't have assigned phones/vm or people who are far away from their desk and need urgent calls from any phone.

    IP500V2 Call Park/Unpark

@gknight: Ok the short codes seem to work, but that's a lot of typing on a keypad. I thought pressing the park button while not on a call would show you all parked calls, regardless of who parked them. seems like that would be a useful function. Based on this I set a park button on the phone and...

    IP500V2 Call Park/Unpark

This seems like it should be a pretty basic thing, but I cannot figure it out for the life of me. Coming from a Key system, so maybe I just don't understand the process. If I receive a call on one phone and use a park button with no action data assigned, I can only unpark it from that phone...

    fake key sytem

Thanks for the responses! This seems like a lot of extra work and based on most of the comments, is probably not the best course of action. The more I read about the differences between the two types of system, the more I'm liking PBX's. We have a few guys that don't have an assigned phone and...

    fake key sytem

I am new to the IP Office system and we are coming from a key system. Most of the users are rednecks and are resistant to change. We only have 4 lines so I'd like to make it as much like the old system as possible. That being the case, I'd like to get some more info on how to do the ICR to a HG...
