thank you all.. xinnam? I see the keycode disks and when I re-installed mermail the keycode is on the mermail cabinet so I know the keycode for the switch is a little different but I think I will stumble through that once I find the boot disk (any wisdom on keycodes is welcome) I will probably...

    Meridian Opt 81c ver 25.4 (I think)

I know pulling the Hard drives and just selling a cold switch is an option.. but I like a challenge and an opportunity to learn.. the switch is looking for a boot source and I have a stack of floppies.. I just don't know what floppy it wants and in what sequence.. I have been doing my homework...

decommissioning Meridian 61c hard drive wipe

Thanks for the fast response. If I hear you correctly, I can reboot with the install software and use the default image option to overwrite the data then use the repartition command to wipe the user info but leave the drive ready for the new owner.. if my client is more paranoid then the PBX...

decommissioning Meridian 61c hard drive wipe

Hello and thank you.. I have found lots of info on unpluging and/or systematicly bringing down the shelves and cabinets. However, I have a client who wants to remove all user data from the PBX and mermail hard drives (HIPA law) before the equipment is sold.. is it possible to do this with out...
