the company I work for (I am a low voltage electrician) is moving into a new shop with a KX-TDA100 that is up and running.. we have two separate groups in our shop with the same receptionist.. I was hoping I would find a work sheet that helps in setting up CO and ext groups in the system.. I don't want to miss some little detail in the manual and mess this up on my home court..

group one
main incoming POTS line plus rollover lines for main #
10 EXT for group one

group two
incoming POTS line plus rollover lines
4 EXT for group two

front receptionist needs to get all calls on her phone

I need the answer but I would prefer to find work sheets or a guide for this and other set ups..

just put the reception in each group and if you name ths co and groups it will show on the screen if you press the transfer while the first call is coming in and it will keep that setting

I will look into that... I see CO groups and EXT groups.. I think I need to make the second company EXT and main reception ext group members and make the second companies COs CO group 2 and make a menu option for them to record AA messages for??

you can have the co go to vm trunk groups to play different AA and still go to a group with the same operator phone in it

Right.. and I currently have an EXT 500 that is voicemail 1 I think I need to have an EXT 501? or? for voicemail 2 or just route the second company calls to a custom service greeting in system services on the TVA50??

I also see the COs are going to EXT 601 Incoming Call Distrobution it goes to 500 for day, break and night.. and I don't see how to define COs in 601 vs 602

No, you have to setup voicemail trunks and setup the voice mail to route the call to the AA of each one.

It is advanced programming and would not be easy to explain to someone with limited experence in the system

as in.. PORT/TRUNK Service, service group 1 : ports 1 and 2 trunk 2... and service group 2: ports 3 and 4 trunk 2?

I am logged in as INSTALLER but a lot of stuff is unchangeable? is there a programmer log in or is it because I am not connected to the system?

I am familiar with phone systems, just trying to get this one adapted for the boss in a short time frame... thanks for any and all help you give..

Did you read the part where you call your dealer? Just because you are a "low voltage" electrician doesn't mean you are automatically trained to work on a TDA/TVA phone system.

If you want it done in a hurry, then get help.

LkEErie I presume you are a dealer?? ours has closed shop...

Yes, that's why it says "Vendor" after my name. You set VM up in two places, the TDA and the TVA. In the former, you assign VM trunk groups, then in the latter the custom service menu. From memory about 9.1 or 10.1 where the trunks are assigned, and Port/Trunk service, along with the custom service table for the VM.
