Hi,
thank you for advices. Does anyone know what is the max of UC users (Office Worker in this case) which is supported by application server (as you said "beefy external server"). I found in the documentation that it is 500 UC users but in one SCN network.
Also if there is also 200 hardphone...
Hi,
what is the most affordable IP Office (IP500v2) solution to support 200 users with softphones?
Option 1:
IPO Preferred Edition with 200 Office Worker user licences and to use Avaya Communicator (which comes with Office Worker license).
Is it necessary that all 200 users be registered on...
Thank you John2012 for you effort. But the question was
For example, if on the system there is no Essential license, than either the system has Preferred and Advanced licenses, the system will be in Basic mode.
I have a several situation like this or when the trial Essencial license was...
Unfortunatelly, for our region, we have just two IP phone options for ordering, 1600 and 9600.
Since 1600 is cheaper, it is usually a primary choice.
But, PoE injector just simulate PoE powering from switch, so I think that it should be working with 1608 phone? Strange is that Avaya don't...
According to documentation there are 2 possibilities for powering 1608 IP phone. One is using PoE Ethernet switch and another is using local power adapter.
But in case when there is an existing non-PoE Ethernet switch it could be useful to add just PoE injector. Avaya 1151D1 power injector is...
Manager -> Selection Screen shows only version - IP Office (but not what Edition)
Monitor -> I did't found any info about version or edition.
DTE -> I didn't try, because it requires reboot of the system (which is not usually convinient in production).
Anyway, tlpeter thank you for the answer.
Well, the question was how to find out is IP Office running in Basic, Essential, Preferred or Advanced mode?
I suppose that I don't need a gun for that :-)
Question is simple: in what menu of IP Office Manager or System Status is displayed Edition of IP Office?
One way is to see in Licenses, and find out what licenses exist - Basic, Essential, Preferred or Advanced.
But this is not directly confirmation about active Edition on IP Office?

>>if you go into the craft menu on the phone your first option is 802.1x
Did you think 802.1Q instead of 802.1x?
In user manual, datasheet I didn't find any info about QoS and 802.1p settings.
Hi,
Is it possible to set 802.1p value on 9600 phone?
I found that in 46xxsettings.txt file is possible to set 802.p value with »SET L2Q« but this would be applied on all IP phones in system.
Also, do 9600 phones support voice activity detection or this feature is more related with PBX system...
Hello hairlessupportmonkey,
The information from IPO Product description from section about teleworker user profile "The teleworker is also capable of using a VPN phone." was direct me to post this question on forum.
According to your advice, I searched IP Office KB but I didn't find...
Thanks for clear answer.
>>When you use a 16XX phone then you must have a router to router VPN.
And it this case it is not needed teleworker license also?
Hello,
