    Team Viewer Remote Access software

I left out the part that I had purchased this software a few months ago and am having great results with my remote customers, though it'll take awhile before I break even on the cost. Prior to purchasing this software I did try the free version and was impressed. I'd tried just about every...

    Failing Memory Test

I didn't have the exact CPU available, an older one but I did get the same results. Off to order a replacement motherboard. Thanks to all.

    Failing Memory Test

I have considered replacing the CPU. I'll see if I have another one. Thanks for the suggestion, DrB0b. Yes, tlscousin, I did update the BIOS. No change.

    Access Error on Install

In some cases, I've found that you can modify the security settings on the folder that you are trying to install to. Ensure the account used to install the software has all the rights.

Only goes to Boot Options Screen over and over!

If you have the Dell Reinstallation CD, you can boot from it and at the first Menu, select "To Setup Windows XP Now", do NOT select Recovery Console "Repair". Press the F8 key to accept the licensing agreement and at the next screen look for a "Repair" option. Press "R" to do a safe...

    Failing Memory Test

DrB0b, I've tried 2 sticks, 1 stick in each slot. MemTest locked up at about 10%. For the other suggestions, I am a Dell Certified Tech so I've tried all those. Fixing it is not as important as understanding what the error means. I'm planning on replacing the MB. Thanks to all.

    Failing Memory Test

Well, goombawaho I appreciate your thoughts and I have considered this but there is still a market for lower priced laptops. I sell them on CL and by word of mouth quite often and do make a profit. As a Dell Certified Technician I enjoy repairing these and donate them as well. This is one of...

    Team Viewer Remote Access software

If you've used this software before, how does it compare to other products out there aside from the expense.

Inspiron 1545 CPU fan not spinning

Many of the Dell laptop models include diagnostics you can access by pressing F12 while the Dell Logo is displayed. As well, if you have a Dell Diagnostic CD for that or similar model you can boot off it. Both methods will display a Fan Test if your model Dell has that feature.

    Failing Memory Test

I have an Inspiron 1150 Laptop that locks up after a few minutes. Must power off/on to restart. When running a Dell memory test it immediately fails with the following error: "Unable to locate APIC Tables in ACPI Structures" I've replaced the memory and reset the BIOS. I suspect a problem...
