Hi Guys,
While I like to think of myself as a bit of an expert on the Avaya CS1000 side of things, when it comes to CallPilot I can get confused and lost rather quickly. I'm sure this is quite simple to set up but I'm just not putting the final pieces of glue together to get it to work and...
You change the Hardware Unit numbers around through CLI.
Just unplug the switch from the stack, a slave will become the base.

-Great scott!
These notes I have below will work for the 2360 too. Version 7 (something in that range) is the supported releases by Avaya.
To upgrade a 2380 switch from WSS Software Version 4.0 or later, type commands such as the following.
Note. This example copies the image file into boot partition 1. On...
Hrmm, im running release 7. Both on the cs1000 and the branch office. :-/
Cheers for the tip though GHTROUT. Very handy for someone reading this in the future im sure.

Hi All.
Am I missing something with this or is it something like a feature that i dont have?
I have a branch office that I'd like to get ZESA working so E911 calls will go out via the branch office PSTN (PRI), but for some reason I'm not getting any prompt out for ZESA either by PRT, CHG, NEW...
dont want to scare you, but we had all sorts of dramas with upgrading the DB from r4.0 to r7.0 back in the day.
it turned out to be some type of database corruption with zones and the time - of all things.

Hi Wire12.
Looking in two places then. Call tracing in LD80 and your LD86 for RLI, DGT' and numbering plans on a trunk.
I'm not 100% following your question though, so i could be leading you on the wrong path.
Cheers

You'll still be able to use Windows 7/ IE 8-9 for UCM just fine - I do it now.
Make sure you run IE in compat mode though, as some of the search and menus will not work.
If all else fails, XP mode within Windows 7.

No problems jay0324. Just make sure in your NRS too that you have the prefix of say 0 and that the Dialling plan match cdp.udp (CDP - Cordinated Dialling Plan).

Help! lol Please :)
I have an issue where one of my sites, Site A is producing a bizarre CLID number that I can't seem to match to any configuration! From what I can see, it doesnt match any of my CLID tables, DGT and RLB or even something crazy in LD90!
Here is the scenario.

Hi All,
I have a situation that I would really like some help on. Essentially, I have users within my three sites that are still calling the full number (eg. 00894330xxx) number instead of using 4 digit DN's to reach other sites. Meaning, they're routing out on the PSTN and costing a local or...
UNASSSIGNED NUMBER means that you have set up the TSC's/ DSC's and RLB's in LD86 and LD87 correctly... But you havent gone into your NRS on either side to create a NRS 'route' so that the number you're pushing to the DCH/Route of your SIP know which Endpoint is correct!.
Take a look at your...
I agree with hawks, could be a bad channel.
Could it also be that maybe some of your phone accounts have MUS routing to a wrong Channel. I have seen a few places use this over the system wide default.

To add to Romar53, you can SSH/Telnet into your CS1000 by going to the CallServer IP.
On r7.0 and other releases im sure, you get to the linux base. Once there you can type "cslogin" which will get you to the same position that the VT would.

Hi Pbxpoweruser
I'm taking a guess here that some of your CPND names are too long to fit on the one line with the DN? And the users who have the really long last names are the ones grizzling?
If so, I feel your pain somewhat. However we were able to push back with policy to say (too long of a...
