Interesting. The bridges actually work! - it's the greeting that's wrong.
If I hit "2" during the "Your call has been answered by Avaya...." greeting, it goes straight to the bridge. "2" is the DTMF breakout for the bridge's short code (*56).
So all's I need to do (I think) is get a decent...
Thanks for your responses!
Hi Jamie - Yes, I could call the vendor - but I'm not sure it'd ever been set up right to begin with. The bridge does point to an extn but always had a mailbox. I disabled its mailbox but still get the same Avaya message as before, plus "sorry, the mailbox is not...
Howdy Avaya'ers -
We have 2 bridges (short codes *55 and *56), each defined with the "Conference Meet Me" feature.
They work OK for internal calls (one short beep and they're in conference). External callers SHOULD hear our "Welcome to our conference bridge" greeting - but instead hear...
Hi Westi, Aha, thanks for the clarification; glad to know I didn't hose myself even worse than usual :-)
Regarding call flow, there is none for the bridges - (only the auto attendants). I think I'm just getting more and more confused...
And you're more than welcome for the star. I'm...
Aaaaarrgh, guilty as charged. Was using RDP.... aaaaaaack! I need to do some more digging. I do know that it only allows one RDP session at a time; hopefully it isn't too bollixed up.
Thanks for replying, I very much appreciate it!
Thanks Amriddle....I've been going through the settings and finding others hosed as well. May take some time to get it all sorted out.
I don't see any call flow for the Conference Bridges. Not sure if it's cause it's not there, or I'm just not smart enough to find it :-)
Thanks again, other...
Howdy all -
After our vendor rebuilt our VM Pro (v8) following a RAID failure, the system has "forgotten" the welcome message we once used to introduce callers to the bridge. Most (if not all) wav's, and system settings, were on backups and were restored to the new system.
Now it just greets...
Hello and thanks for your replies!
I did get the One-X pricing from my vendor. Not too bad!
Westi: Darn it! :-) There's a 286 sitting around I was gonna use!
Hey there Hairless!
Very cool link, thanks! We do have one or two unused power user license - for Phone Manager Pro... not sure off-hand about One-X (is the One-X license interchangeable with PM Pro?....I guess I should call my vendor! :-)
Also we use Google Apps (not MS Exchange). Some...
Greetings Avaya Gurus -
My favorite "power user" has defined speed dials in Phone Manager Lite. She's been reading the help screens (imagine that!) and has noticed that users can be configured for Instant Messaging - and of course, now she wants it!
We're at IPO r8 with VM Pro. I've checked...
Thanks tlpeter!
Just for grins, I went through other greetings and found a few other users that would've had similar issues.
Can't recall off-hand - but I think they're supposed to hit "1" when done - but they hit "#" (or vice versa). The tone sticks, and voila!
I wouldn't be surprised if...
Aha! Figured it out myself - last night during a period of sleeplessness!
User had recorded a DTMF tone at the end of her greeting. It was followed by several seconds of silence.
Callers were mistaking the DTMF for the "beep"!
I whacked it using wav editing software. Problem solved...
Hi tlpeter -
Hmmmm, interesting - "strange things"!
The only change I've made recently (that I can remember) was for auto attendant options; shouldn't have affected the user in question.
Buggy release - could explain it though. Other ideas?
Many thanks!

Hi TLPeter - yes, the voice recordings that have been left in her VM box.
I've been monitoring her mailbox and I haven't heard this myself yet. I've asked her to leave the recordings for me. (Not sure what good this will do - but couldn't hurt...)
If you think of anything - please post...
