Hi all -

Another oddball. I have a user complaining that voicemails that she's already heard - and deleted! - are returning to her voice mailbox - a week or more later! In her words:

"on two occasions, most recently being this morning, I have had the new message light go on to hear a message that I had already heard and discarded. They come in as new, unheard ....weird. These are voice messages. In each case, I had previously received them and responded, then deleted the message. When I got them both a second time, my initial reaction was "didn't we already take care of this?". But I called back the senders anyway just in case, and both parties said yes, this was already discussed and weren't sure why the message went out again fresh."

Hmmmmm. If it was just ONCE - I'd probably just "blame the user", lol. But TWICE! :)

Any ideas? Thanks in advance! (We are at IPO v8, VMPRO v8)

There seem to happen strange things to voicemail messages in release 8.x
Do you perhaps change your callflow and do a save and make live when it is not idle?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Hi tlpeter -

Hmmmm, interesting - "strange things"!

The only change I've made recently (that I can remember) was for auto attendant options; shouldn't have affected the user in question.

Buggy release - could explain it though. Other ideas?

Many thanks!

Normally when you save and make live then the changes are not made until voicemail pro is idle.
But now it makes the changes straight away with all kind of odd issues as the result.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Update:

We're going to install IPO 8.0.44 and VMPRO 8.0.1011 and see if this fixes the issues.
