OK, this one was a 2050 softphone version issue, it was 3.X which requires a license server whih we don't have. It works fine with Version 2.6.

I don't think so, we are supposed to have one key code assigned to each client and also it does work on another computer. Do you know how to check what license is assigned to what client>
One user has a i2004 IP phone that used to have one of the buttons programmed to an out side line but I can not see how to do that.
Is there a way to do that?

One user has a 2050 Nortel Softphone on their laptop. It started getting a licensing error after running fine for several months. When we try to same DN with the 2050 software on another laptop its fine so seems to be something to do with the laptop.

I am an IT guy who has gotten the phone system administration assigned to me. I have some background in phone systems but its very limited. The owners soft phone started giving licensing errors, I assigned another active DN that wasn't being so he could use it while out of town and this got him...
