Hello Team, I wish to be able to ping and trace route from within my network protected by both PIX506e and 501 routers. I also wish the routers to ignore ping and trace route's originating from the internet. What do I need to do in the setup of the devices to achieve the above? Thanks, Geoff

My 506 will freeze at exactly the same point if I don't have any cables connected to the Ethernet ports. Try joining the two Ethernet ports together with a crossover cable and reboot the PIX. Geoff

Well, I defaulted the PIX to factory settings and started again. Now it works! No idea what happened there, now to get PDM working! Geoff
