Out dialing issues with ars and aar and faxes

I have an Aura system with multiple switches and multiple locations. We use ISDN Pri's for our public network and we have ISDN's tying our systems together for a private network. We use AAR between our switches to keep costs down. A huge problem we have been having since the dawn of time, is...

    Modular Messaging Service Packs

support.avaya.com? Yes. But I couldn't find anything about service packs on the site. The installation guide tells you how to install them, but nothing in depth about what loads or builds you can jump from.

    Modular Messaging Service Packs

I have been given the job of updating our Modular Messaging. We are running 5.2 with Service Pack 2. I'm supposed to upgrade it to SP 18. I was told I first have to update it to SP8 before I could make the jump to sp18. When I look at release notes, my system is not at the minimum releases. I am...

    multiple locations dialing 911

Thanks for the quick response. I have only one more question. Do I have to put in a complete ARS Analysis table for each location or will the gateways resort to the ARS table that is set for all locations for the other numbers dialed? Thanks again.

    multiple locations dialing 911

I have an Avaya 5.2 Communication Manager. My setup has a main site with PRI's and multiple gateways with POTS lines attached to them. Can anyone give me an idea how to route 911 calls over the gateways copper trunks? Right now if the people in the remote locations call 911, the calls get routed...

Personal CO covering to voice mail

I have an Avaya Definity System with Modular Messaging. It's comprised of a main location and a bunch of satelite sites. One of my sites has phones with personal CO's on them. I want these CO's to cover to the MM mailbox of the phone they appear on. Does anyone know how this can be done? Thanks.

Modular Messaging on a single server

We have been advised by Avaya to reboot our 8800 server running Modular Messaging every 90 days. It is a single 8800 server. Are we supposed to just shut down the virtual MAS and MSS through the VCN, or power down the entire server. Please let me know and include the steps I should take.

    Blocking an incoming number

What do I set the call limit to and the config set to? It would not let me leave them blank. Does it matter what they are set to? Thanks.

    Avaya 5.2

Is there any way for an extension to use a specified trunk group for all it's calls without using routing tables? We're having trouble sending faxes over the network and want them to all go out local.

    Public unknown numbering

I'm not sure how to send an attachment. Can you let me know how to do that.

    Public unknown numbering

The route patterns have pub-unk and the send calling field on the trunk group is checked to yes. I'm still having the same problem. Any other ideas.

    Public unknown numbering

I have a campus environment with an assortment of Avaya Definity Classic Switches and new 8XXX switches. All these switches are connected using point to point T1's. We also use least cost routing to save money. The problem I'm having is when a call is routed out one of my switches to the switch...
