Should've added, this site's on 6.5 and the drawer checkouts do not include the drawer description or time the checkout was ran. I need to add these elements.
You may already have checked this but you should take a look at the power connector into the terminal.
You say it restarts when someone enters an order? I've seen this before when the power cable is pulled (or tied) tightly and the act of pressing the touchscreen is moving it enough to...
Hi Guys,
I'd like to hear from anyone currently using the Ingenico EFT930 chip and pin devices; wifi and bluetooth versions. We're currently considering these as an option and would like to know what current users think?
Thanks,
Don't think 6.4 is fully supported on Windows 7. I haven't tried any server installs on this yet but I have been trying to get a remote back office (installed on Win7 connecting to a 2003 server) to work properly.
I can get all of the remote boh to work apart from reprints. Running...
Yeah, I've been through that. I've setup a lot of remote back office installations on XP boxes so I know the process and it's straightforward to do. It just doesn't seem to work properly on Win7.
They weren't dire but they were limited. We couldn't force MSR or Biometric use on the terminals for the employees that would be assigned to a tablet as it didn't have the hardware to support it. Other than that it worked OK.
For us, running a full tablet that we could install Aloha on was a...
Check your hardware configuration of the terminal in the Aloha back office. It sounds like there may be a mismatch between what's configured and what is actually on the till and Aloha is trying to initialise hardware that doesn't exist.
We've used standard tablet PCs for this in the past which aren't ideal. Any time we've spoken to our reseller regarding handhelds, they've been pushing Orderman (http://www.orderman.com). Radiant bought them out a couple of years ago.
I remember the kit looked good but it wasn't cheap.
Anybody had any success in getting an Aloha Remote Back Office installation to run on Win7?
We have a server running 2003 and an XP remote bo. We're replacing the remote bo and would like to upgrade to Win7. The remote bo installs OK on Win7 and I can run the app but 'File' - 'Login' doesn't...
Just to clear up my point on the reporting - there's nothing *wrong* with the built-in Aloha reporting. Our users found it less 'pretty' than what they had from Maitre'D but it's still functional and reliable. The biggest gripe I had with it was the lack of customisation options compared to...
I've been supporting Aloha for a bar/restaurant/nightclub chain for approx 3 1/2 years and it's been pretty good. The software's reliable and we haven't had too many problems with the P1220s - with the exception of the biometric readers.
The reporting isn't great but we use enterprise and...
IIRC, with the TM-T88IIs, the red error light can come on when the paper cutter hasn't reset itself properly. This can be common with a lot of use and is normally a sign that it's failing but if you manually reset it you can keep it running a while longer.
There's a flap just in front of where...
