I saw a article on RKS that said aloha 6.4 and up has been 'certified' for windows 7 and was wondering if anyone has had any luck.

I've been working on a 6.4 install, but am having a very hard time getting ctrlsvr and edcsvr to run... debouts mention lana errors, but i know my aloha nic is set to lana 0.
When i try to run edc.exe, i get an error about edc failing to register with DCOM, but cannot figure out how to fix/get around that.
I've run each line of regester_iber.bat and verified that they work (from cmd as administrator).

if anyone has any tips or suggestions, they'd be greatly appreciated!

Just added a faq for windows 7 install. faq693-7418

hope this helps.

Cheers,

Hi,
I dont run Oloha, I am running other POS systems on Win7 and am finding occasional problems in regards to UAC and access to Console memory.
If you are a programmer this will help debug problems (Microsoft's procexp.exe)

And there is a doc below that explains UAC from a programmers perspective.

Don't think 6.4 is fully supported on Windows 7. I haven't tried any server installs on this yet but I have been trying to get a remote back office (installed on Win7 connecting to a 2003 server) to work properly.

I can get all of the remote boh to work apart from reprints. Running reprints.exe freezes the reprints app. Errors are logged saying that the os version is not supported.
