i have a Definity G3 switch and i need to know how to transfer calls on analog phones. i'm using lucent 6220 analog phones. my system isn't setup to accept those handsets so i can't program the buttons. i tried looking at the feature codes in the system but didn't see any for transferring...

i think i had to give the handset console permissions and i don't remember how i did it.

i've checked the class of service and it didn't seem to change anything. it seems like i remember having to enter some sort of feature code to elevate a handset's privledges at a previous job who had the same definity switch. ring any bells?

i have the G3 v6 and i can't seem to find the software version. i also just realized that i do have two annoucement boards. one with 16 recordings and another with 6 recordings. i suppose i'm going to need to move them all to one board.

alright, well i only have one announcement board so i should be good. as for the formatting issue that 4merAvaya brought up, shouldn't it be an exact copy if i run the commands on both cards on the same day? i ordered the same card using the part number from the card i currently have installed.

so if i run save trans and save ann on both cards i should have two full copies of everything right? i don't have a lot of announcements and only have bout 75 handsets on my G3 switch. should be plenty of room on a 10mb flash card correct?

good info too. i have a scheduled back up that runs nightly and saves everything to the flash card currently installed. i was needing a copy of the flash card to store offsite incase the building were to suddenly implode or be trounced by a 50 foot marshmallow man so we could get the system back...
