I doubt Avaya will resolve anything. I feel I have been ignored by the best on this one. I am at the point of buying an older 308 to get it working. Did the swap with slot 2 work? What are the ramifications of this? Do the extensions change much?
This is a known bug in the system that Avaya has admitted then denied. If you remove the 308 card it will work every time. The rev number is important, after a certain rev you cannot connect PERIOD. I am stuck not able to use the modem I bought for this phone system. I must program it...

Sorry meant 308 not 803.
I am able to logon and control everything properly but only with the 308 card removed.
I was wondering if TD1019 had this problem

Are you using the Modem card or a Modem?
If Modem card and current 803 cards, you might have a pblm.
It will not latch onto the modem probably.
Let me know if you are sucessful. I have to remove my 803 to use the modem.
I also have had these problems, when the 308 is removed I can communicate. I tried external modems but don't know cable pinouts from DB9 to RJ45. Do the modem cables from the Messaging RS232 match the ACS and what baud rate? I tried and it did not work.
I lost about 2 weeks work on this...
The difference is the pin 6*7 which I will try. But there is another part to the question. Is the cable from the computer a NULL modem cable or straight modem cable?
Second: Is the cable from the adapter to the ACS a straight cable or cross-over? IE is pin 1 on the left on both ends?
Thanks
Jeff
I am not a stupid person but this communications issue with the Partner is really making me feel stupid.
I have a Remote access card that none of my modems can connect to. When I get one to work (for a while) I cannot transfer the translation tables. It usualy just locks up. I was able to...
