    You're absolutely correct. Remove the H.323 and add the SIP extension and it will work for you. You are also correct that you can't hotdesk between the two.

    I'm sure you checked this, but what about forwarding on one or more of the extensions in the hunt group? Perhaps that's why it's random depending on the status of the phone it's being forwarded from?
