If our reservation clerks need to make an outgoing call like to ask the manager a question, they cannot place the call until any incoming calls stop ringing. On a high volume call day that may take a while.
Is there anyway to make it so that they can make the call?
I have a B179 on a IPO 11.0.4 System that was working but is not now.

Any suggestions on the SMTP settings to send to gmail accounts. Is STARTTLS all of a sudden required?
When an incoming call to the softphone comes in over SIP trunk the call is fine.
When call comes over an analogue trunk the voice is about half the volume.
How do I fix this?

I can call the extension and everything seems fine. I can even transfer the call from the softphone to another extension.

I used short codes as you suggested and then created a directory entry [P1 - Park 1 / *37*1#], [UP1 - Unpark 1 / *38*1#]
Now user just types P1 enter or UP1 enter.

I am able to get the softphone working inside the office but not from outside.
I am using a MIP on the Firewall so any packets coming from my laptop's IP address are forwarded to the IPO no matter the port.

Under user: Enable Softphone is still greyed out for the user we setup. Enable Desktop/VoIP VoIP client is available. So we have that checked.
