Hi all.... have a question on my backups using arcserve.
I was troubleshooting our nightly backup job (around 640Gb) which starts off really well.... in the 2,300Mb/min range.... I know the system is probably capable of more, but that speed is acceptable for me.
Anyways.... as time goes on...
Hi all... I have a backup job just sending a single Veeam image to tape.
I would imagine that because it was a single file, it would be quite fast.
AS the subject states, the job starts OK, but ends up going at a snail pace. It takes around 2hrs for the job to hit rock bottom, and I cant work...
Sounds like a standard GFS backup in arcserve.... Your full backup every 5 months will have to be a separate job....
When you create the job, in the schedule tab there is an option to use a rotation scheme.
This is the option for GFS. Select this then use the drop down menu to choose which GFS...

The backup I am performing is in arcserve, I want to put the above Veeam file onto tape, and integrate it into my nightly backup routine.
I figure it would be much faster to put one...

weird... I actually noticed the opposite.... Our 11.5 interface was slower....
Are you working on the server locally or through the management console on another machine?
Hi, I have Arcserve 12 sp1 running (on dedicated server) and have installed the exchange agent. I am having problems performing a document level backup (havent even reached the restore yet!)
