Arcserve 12 Sluggish Interface

We have upgraded many of our servers from Arcserve 11.5 to Arcserve version 12 and have noticed that it takes significantly longer to access simple tasks like the Job Status, Device etc. We have seen this with a standalone servers and member servers.

Are there any settings that need to be changed in v12 to help speed up the interface?

weird... I actually noticed the opposite.... Our 11.5 interface was slower....


Are you working on the server locally or through the management console on another machine?

We usually work on the servers locally using Remote Desktop. Most Arcserve 12 installs are done as standalone installations on HP Proliant 380 G4 or G5's and we are using the built in SQL Express database.

We thought that we would see a performance increase by installing Arcserve 12 as a standalone Vs. a member server but have seen no difference.

Try doing a Manager only install on your local system and then manage all the ARCserve servers from there.
