It looks like it's new battery time. The client has done a hard restart.
I already know about dip switch 8 to default the system, but have I lost the system configuration and need to reprogram from scratch?
Also, is this a battery I can just go to Walgreens or such and pick up?
I've found it before under tech support - software, and can program TDE and TDA up to version 6.
I see the USB drivers and the other consoles on the site but no joy for the UPCMC. [sad]
My installer is version 7.4.1.0
Where do they hide the latest version? [ponder]
TIA!
This is a new client for me. The system is an old ACS V4 with two 206 cards and a Voicemail. It's been up and running for years.
Client called - system had one red light on processor and no lights on other cards. I had her replace the batteries and do a power cycle.
This cleared the error and...
Thanks for the constructive comment, Phonehed. <grin>
It's a box I pulled out of a building that is being demolished. I was looking to eBay it. Sounds like I'm better off sending it to the recycler.
Sorry, forgot to add that I tested the power fault connection and it works fine.
I'm beginning to think that I should butter this one up... (it's toast!)
I'm using one known good line to test all the line jacks, I have a buttset on the line too. It seems like the system has an "issue" with the...
This is what I've done so far:
System reset
Changed all 6 lines to tone
Programmed all 6 lines to one phone
Tested known good CO to each of the 6 lines
Tested on more than one extension
Here's what I get:
Calls coming in - ring and when answered, from the Nortel set - incoming voice is...
Thanks, cwc3.
It's an NCP system that has static on all 4 trunks. The lines test clean so it points to the system. Static is on both digital and IP phones.
The system has no ground wire attached which is why I wonoered about adequate grounding through the rack mount frame.
They will try a...
I RTFM and there is no mention of this issue.
Is the 19" rack mount for the NCP500/1000 adequate grounding for the system if the rack itself is fully grounded or do I need to install a separate ground to the system's ground screw?
TIA!
I have a client that wants to be able to page to his wireless phones (kx-wt125)
The *33 option only pages desk sets.
Is there a way to page to cordless phones too? [ponder]
This is a TDA50G system with 5 WT125's and 3 DT343's.
TIA!
Got a TVS50 hooked to a TDA50 - was working fine for years.
Now I get no response dialing it and hooking up with Hyperter minal gets me only "Checki" that is repeated every minute.
No login or password prompt, no blinking power light, no boot printout on the screen after a power up.
Is it dead...
I was fortunate to never have worked on the 1a2 systems.
My first system was an AT&T System 75, and thet was bad enough with the 3 pair connections and the 6' tall box.
Thanks cwc3.
That sounds like a viable option. I like that you can join a call just by pressing the line button. But, if the first person that was on the call hangs up, is the person who joined the call disconnected as well?
On the TDA, when the first person on the call hangs up he needs to...
I have an older couple client that currently has a Panasonic TDA system.
What they have a problem with is this:
Call comes in and he answers on ext 1
She joins the conversation (conference) and then after a while he hangs up.
On the TDA system this will terminate the call unless transfer is...
Well that's kind of stupid. But I guess that this is a business system and not a residence system.
Do you know if there is a system that has a line privacy setting that can be removed that also uses the KX-T7600 series phones?
TIA
I have a client with a TDA100 in their big house.
Yep - 10 extensions.
They want to be able to pick up a second phone to join a conversation so both grand parents can talk to kids at once.
I know that they can use the Busy Override feature, but if the person who answers the call hangs up, the...
