Thanks linney. Most of the link did not apply because I was not getting that far. But upgrading BIOS did the trick, even though Toshiba daid that the upgrade was for larger HD's.
Current install is ridden with "anti-virus/spyware scanners", if you want to call them that. I can not get rid of them totally. I cannot invoke <F6> it never gets that far. All I get is the first "inspecting computer hardware..." and then a blank screen.
I have a Toshiba Qosimio. I need to reinstall windows XP. When I boot to the CD I get the message "inspecting computer hardware..." screen goes blank and then nothing. The Cd works fine on other computers. And I am still able to boot from the HD.

On my test table I am just using insert object from file and browsing for the jpg. This is an access database right now. When I insert the object and set up a small form the image displays in access, but not when I try to retrieve it from ASP.
I have images stored in a database. I would like to display them on my web pages. I know that I need to use Response.BinaryWrite( bdata) but when I do all that shows is the the binary data not the image, like the data is not being decoded.

Is there nothing similar to vrepair in Nss that is not this dangerous. With vrepair it would correct bad pointers and orphaned files without this "am I going to loose all of my data
Thank you. That is what I had been reading and was afraid of. I have installed the update and I now need to wait until I can restart the server. After that will I need to do a poolrebuild or is it still dangerous?
Yes, I just saw where it stated to enter nss /errorcode=20810 and nss /errorcode=20880 to obtain more information and when I do I do not understand the more information.
Error = zERR_VOLUME_SHOULD_NOT_ACTIVATE (20810)
Error = zERR_POOL_CONSUMER_PREVENTED
System: Netware 6.5 sp4
I have been recieving broadcast messages about errors on one of my nss pools. I just ran nss /poolverify="name" and recived errors that Named tree entries != Named objects and Named tree entries exist with no object anlong with other warnings.

Thanks
