I have a set of documents that are in an indesign book, these documents contain an image at the same location in each document. Is there a way of using this book as a template for other projects and having this image updated by database stored images.

I can't use the embed option because the image needs to maintain the link, as different people (authors and illustrators) will be editing the files at different times.

Is there a way that you can see the difference between files in a book, like splitting them into sections or using colour to differentiate between the files. As a list in the indesign book they all just look the same. Thanks Gary.

Apparently its not the server that has changed its just one of the drives has been updated to a larger one. I.T. have told me that the path is still the same. Is it worth me just repackaging anyway, I have over 150 seperate indesign files to re-do, any suggestions on the quickest way? Thanks G.
